*I am grateful.* I keep this mantra close to heart and say it every day as much as I can along with the reasons why. It helps to keep me aligned with how I choose to walk in this world and is a powerful contributor to all I aspire toward through manifestation. Thank you, friends, for walking along side me here, for supporting and sharing my work, for pushing me to create outside of my comfort zone and for cheering me along way. Thank you, I am so very grateful.
***Need a little coloring therapy on this holiday or want to occupy the kiddos while you’re cooking up a storm in the kitchen? You can find this mandala (free download!) and many more on my website (link in comments)...color away!

Seed/Root/Bloom is complete! Thank you for all your input as to which orientation this piece should be hung! I always saw it hanging vertically, but it wasn’t until I took it off the table did I wonder which way it would actually hang! So, thank you for your help in making that decision! And I loved learning how you interpreted this mandala! Very much in line with my vision! Now to reveal how nearly 80% of you saw this hanging if you were to hang it in your space! 🙂 ... “It’s a great challenge and a wonderful journey how to figure out how to be an artist and to carve my way.” -Tobin Bell. Going on 5 years of literally carving my way in this world as a full-time artist. Aside from mothering, it’s been one of the most challenging and rewarding ventures in my 43 years. I’m so very grateful to do what I love and I am thankful for your purchases, your kind words, your likes and shares and for pushing me out of my comfort zone to keep me moving forward. Another fantastic Sunday at Sun King Brewing Company for some Glass Etching! I loved watching participants go from “oh, I don’t know about this...my lines are a little wobbly” to “wow, I feel pretty damn good about this!” as the 90 minutes went by. I continue to be so impressed by the beautiful work and skill my students demonstrate in class, especially those who have never even touched a Dremel before!

The next class is November 12th! Come, I have a feeling you’ll walk away feeling not only empowered by learning a new skill, but pretty damn impressed with what you can create! Tickets are only $30 until October 31st! Just 12 spots remain! @ Sun King Brewing Company

“I don't think there's anything on this planet that more trumpets life than the sunflower. For me that's because of the reason behind its name. Not because it looks like the sun but because it follows the sun. During the course of the day, the head tracks the journey of the sun across the sky. A satellite dish for sunshine. Wherever light is, no matter how weak, these flowers will find it. And that's such an admirable thing. And such a lesson in life.”

For those of you that have asked about my yoga mat...it is indeed hand-painted! I used acrylic (non-toxic!) on my Manduka Pro yoga mat and for now am leaving it unsealed to see if the paint will hold up on the mat after lots of use. I purposely left certain areas unpainted to ensure I still had good grip. It’s had pretty consistent use this past week and so far, so good! If you get the itch to paint your mat or have already, I’d love to see the end result! ... See MoreSee Less

@megsj1 and I are at it again! This time, we’re creating the biggest set of wings yet! Set on the @whiteriverstprk bridge, these #indyangelwings will be 90 feet long and 30 feet wide! While these are on the ground and not on a building like usual, once you’re standing in “the” spot in front of the mural, it’ll look like you have wings! We’ll be working with 30 volunteers as part of #indydoday and #itsmycity on Thursday from 1-5pm, so if you’d like to come check out the wings, I recommend coming on the day (after 5) or within the few days following as we’re working with chalk that will disappear once the next rain comes! 🙂 ... Such a great night at the #midwestmeetup event last night! Insanely talented makers from all over gathered at RUCKUS Makerspace for a night of face to face interaction, good food, beer and the wildest game of @tenzidicegame there ever was. Fellow Ruckus makers and friends, Calavera Tool Works and Aaron M Cash - design BUILD, put on one heck of a shindig! I don't think one person left without winning some kind of swag awesomeness. Speaking of which...look what I walked away with!! I've coveted one of Calavera's handmade aprons for quite awhile, so you can imagine how thrilled I was to slide this beauty on! It was the icing on what was an incredible night! Thanks again, Aaron Cash and Michael O'Shaughnessy! Well done!! Looking forward to the 2nd Annual #midwestmeetup! 😉 @ RUCKUS Makerspace ...
